Ego, Emotion, and a Lifelong Journey

The process of capturing a photograph is more of a meditation to me than possessing a final image. When the shutter is pressed a page is written. If I have taken my time, listened with intent to hear, and saw with inquisitive eyes, then perhaps I will given insight.

An image to remember it by.

Photography is a practice, a place we return to for reminders. In a world where everything is in constant motion, only a photograph offers us pure stillness.

With so much fantasy and fake pictures, I like to keep my photographs true. Removing, adding, and making composites are fine for some but I feel they make the image too perfect, too sterile, and too deceptive.
